Property Finder: How to Setup Email Alerts of New Properties

To be the first to hear about for sale or for rent properties, setup email alerts via the Property Finder. The Property Finder performs automatic searches based on your search criteria and the results are delivered by email when you keep the Property Finder open or first load the program.

To setup email alerts with the Property Finder, please:

Step #1: Enter In All Search Fields

You have lots of search choices when using the Property Finder. You can search with just a category, zip code, and radius. You can also narrow down your results by opting to use a keyword, choose from a specific seller type, or select a bedroom count. Either way, enter in all required search fields now. DO NOT hit the search button just yet. FIRST, check the “Add as Alerts” box.

Step #2: Name Your Alerts

About now, a pop-up will appear on your screen. Name your new alert. Also, decide if you want a onetime automatic search done or if you want them done at scheduled intervals.

Step #3: Activate Email Alerts

Click the “Alerts” tab, which is found on the left-hand side of the Property Finder. After clicking, you will see the alert you just created. To activate email alerts, check the “Send alerts via email” box. Key in your email address in the space below. Finally, click to apply your alerts.

Note: Now, you can also change the frequency of alerts. By default, the Property Finder searches every 30 minutes; increase or decrease this time if you want.
