Q: Why should I download a desktop program like the Talent Finder?

A: We understand that some people are leery about desktop applications, but the ability to perform all tasks right from the Talent Finder streamlines the process of finding qualified job applicants. The ability to search resumes, browse through your search results, attach customized notes, edit your lists, and send replies right from the program will improve your productivity.

Q: What happens when my free 7-day trial expires?

A: After your free trial expires, you will no longer be able to load the Talent Finder. To continue using this application, please visit http://www.motiont.com/talentfinder.aspx. There, you can download the Talent Finder Free or purchase the Talent Finder or the Talent Finder Pro.

Q: What happens after I buy the Talent Finder?

A: Nothing actually changes. Your free trial included full use of the Talent Finder. The main difference is that the Talent Finder automatically loads, no more having to sit through that pesky “please wait” message.

Q: Why can’t I search up to the maximum 250 miles?

A: This feature is only available on the Talent Finder Pro. If you are unable to search with a 250 mile radius, you are likely using the Talent Finder Free (5 mile radius) or the Talent Finder (100 miles).

Q: Why aren’t my searches producing any results?

A: The Talent Finder searches thousands of websites for you to bring you targeted resumes. For that reason, you should be seeing results. If not, please recheck your search phrase. If all words are correctly spelled, consider expanding your search radius. For instance, searching only in a small town is likely to produce a limited number of results because of the low population count.

Q: Why can’t I use the Talent Finder Pro’s built-in reply?

A: If you receive an error message when attempting to send an email from the Talent Finder, you have likely yet to customize your email settings. To do this, please click on the ‘My Email Settings’ tab, which is found on the left-hand side of the program. A free Gmail account is recommended. Enter in your email address, password, and click to send yourself a test message.

Q: Why haven’t I heard back from a job seeker I emailed? Did they get my email?

A: If you were able to send an email through the Talent Finder, that email was delivered to the recipient. We cannot guarantee that they will check their email or will respond.
