Step #1 – Choose Your Category
We have over 20 categories for you to search. To simplify the process, you can select a specific category (such as For Rent – Multi-Family Residences) or search the entire For Sale or For Rent sections.
Step #2 – Select Your Zip Code and Radius
You must key in your zip code. As for the radius, make your selection. Search up to 5 miles with the Property Finder Free, up to 100 miles with the Property Finder, and perform nationwide searches with the Property Finder Pro.
Step #3 – Enter in a Keyword or Keyword Phrase (Optional)
If an interested homeowner, you are looking for something specific so use a related keyword or keyword phrase. Doing so is optional though. To see all for sale or for rent properties in the local area, leave this field blank.
Step #4 – Enter in a Price Range (Optional)
Price ranges are optional as well. They are ideal for interested homebuyers and renters on a budget. To set a price range, key in a minimum and maximum price. Otherwise, leave these two fields blank.
Step #5 – Make Use of Additional Search Filters
There are two more optional search filters available. They too are ideal for property buyers or renters. Choose from a specific seller type or select a bedroom count. Otherwise, leave these fields as is.
Step #6 – Setup Email Alerts
Get new property listings that meet your search standards delivered to you by email. To setup email alerts:
- Fill out all required search fields.
- Check the “Ad as Alert” box.
- Submit your search.
- Fill out the pop-up that appears on your screen.
- Click the “Alerts” tab on the left-hand side of the screen.
- Enter in your email address.
- Change the frequency of automatic searches (if you want)
- Click to apply your changes.
Note: If you aren’t interested in receiving new property listings by email, please skip this step and go straight to
submitting your search.
Step #7 – Review Your Results
After doing a Property Finder search, your results will appear in a list at the top of the page. Click on a headline to see the entire property listing in the space below. This is what you will see:

Delete a Listing: Relevant searches produce relevant results. Still, you will find listings that don’t meet your
needs. In that case, delete them with two clicks of the mouse.
To delete one property listing, click the “delete” link next to the listing.
To delete two or more property listings, click the checkboxes and then select “Delete All Checked.”
Customize Your Email Options: Before you can send an email reply via the Property Finder and before you can forward a listing to someone you know, your email settings must be set. To do this:
- Click the “My Email Settings” tab on the left-hand side of the screen.
- Key in your Gmail address, password, and send a test message to yourself.
Reply to a Listing: Using the Property Finder’s built-in email reply is quick and easy. If this feature is not available, an email address for contact was not provided. In this case, use the phone number provided in the listing to make contact.
To send an email reply via the Property Finder, click the “Reply” link found on the right-hand side of the screen.
Key in your message. This message will automatically save for next time. Finish by clicking “Send.”
Forward Listing to a Friend: Are you a real estate agent who is helping interested homebuyers purchase their first home? If so, forward all good property listings directly to your clients.
To forward a listing to a friend or client, click the checkboxes next to the properties in question and click to
“Forward All Checked.”
