Tips and Tricks: Using the Leads Finder & Our Android Apps to Get a Great Deal
The Leads Finder lets you search thousands of websites at once! These websites include classified sites, online marketplaces, and more. This means lots of affordable products within your reach. It doesn’t matter whether you buy a television, a pair of sneakers, or a used car. If you pay less that you originally wanted to pay, you saved money! Luckily, it is very easy to save money when you use the Leads Finder and regularly.
All you really need to do is search wisely. This means search using relevant phrases, use the price range feature on the Leads Finder, and start clicking away. With that said, here are some additional tips that can help you:
FREE Is Best
Who doesn’t like free stuff? I know I do? You might be surprised how many people want to avoid the hassle of haggling with a buyer. Instead of selling their things, they post them free online. You can find these free items with the Leads Finder. So instead of doing a standard search with “Wii Games” try “Free Wii Games” first. But wait! Why can’t you just search for Wii Games? Trust me, you will get hundreds maybe even thousands of results. Adding the word free saves time. If you don’t find any free games, then start looking for the best prices.
Don’t Shop Unless You Need
Getting a good deal means saving money. As stated above, if you pay less than you originally wanted to you got a great deal. But you might want to ask yourself, “do I really need this?” I will fully admit that I myself am a Leads Finder and Craigslist junkie. It seems I can always find something I want to buy. Guess what? It is a really great price, but that item is usually something I might possibly maybe want to use…someday!
Always Compare Prices
Lets stick with the Wii video games above. Do a search with the Leads Finder and you will easily find hundreds of video games (thousands if you do a nationwide search and have your purchase mailed to you). Despite being all the same games, rarely is the price the same. Since you are looking for a really great deal, price compare!
Price Compare Using the Leads Finder
It is no secret that price comparing can be hard when you are staring at hundreds of items. That is why you should first start with a price range. This automatically eliminates things you can’t afford or don’t want to pay. Then, there are two easy ways for you to price compare via the Leads Finder.
The Leads Finder lets you sort your search results. All you do is click the “Price” headline at the top. In the example below, you will see that all my video games are now in order of cheapest first.
Then, the Leads Finder lets you remove items from your list; just click the delete link next to the item in question. Based on price, the games for sale, and location, I have narrowed my huge list down to 10 video games instead of 100.
Note: You can delete multiple listings at once by clicking the checkboxes next to the items you want to delete and then click “Delete All Checked.”
Show that “Price is Firm” Seller Otherwise
When someone is in it to make money, you are likely to see “price is firm.” This means if they are selling a used car for $5,000, they want $5,000 for it. Basically, they need money.
You shouldn’t be uncomfortable, but if you are go ahead and wait a few days. If that used car is still available offer $4,000; if they don’t accept that go to $4,500, but state that price is firm. You may have yourself a deal.
Act FAST
You aren’t just looking for for sale items via the Leads Finder; you are looking for a really great deal. But, you aren’t the only shopper with this goal. Good deals online go quick (especially on popular websites like Craigslist). It is vital that you act fast. Most quality items with cheap price tags are gone within 24 hours!
Call Unless Asked Otherwise
Unless you are specifically asked to email the seller, use the provided telephone number even if you have the option to do both. Most email accounts are setup so that the newest messages appear and are read first. Yes, you might have been the first person who emailed about the $50 baby crib, but that first email appears somewhere on the second or third page of their email; you miss out. Rarely does someone check their email backwards.
Don’t Succumb to Pressure
We often associate scammers as foreigners who try and take our money. A mother of three who describes her ratted old car seat as new on Craigslist isn’t the common scammer, but she is trying to scam you. If you meet to buy an item and are greeted with a piece of junk (a piece of junk that looks nothing like the picture you saw) turn around and walk away. Don’t succumb to pressure; better yet tell them exactly how you feel about their deceptive practice.
