Key JobFinder Features
One benefit to using the JobFinder to find a job is the fact that you benefit from loads of great features. These features, which are outlined below, are an ideal way to eliminate hassle, cut down your search time, and produce the best results.
Customizable Searches: You can perform a JobFinder search with nothing more than a keyword, zip code, and radius to search. However, you are presented with the option to make use of our optional search filters. Please see the examples below. The ability to further customize your searches provides more relevant results.
Easy Viewing: Unlike all those job sites that make you switch back and forth between your jobs list and the actual job listings, the JobFinder lets you see both in the same program window. Gone are the days of having to switch back and forth. Please see the example below. The ability to click on a headline to see the full job listing in the window below eliminates hassle and saves time.
Sort Your Results: Your search results do produce relevant results. So lets say you searched for an office management job. These job listings will appear on your screen, but in no particular order. Would you like them in a particular order? If so, click the heading at the top of your jobs list. Please see the example below; you can see that I decided to sort my jobs based location was posted.
Eliminate Jobs: As stated above, relevant searches produce relevant results, but you might notice a few mismatches. For example, you have three years office management experience, but the company wants someone with ten years. If you don’t want to apply for the job, remove the job listing from your list; there is no need to keep staring at it! Please see the example below; just right click the X!
Email Alerts: How would you like to see what jobs posted online since your last JobFinder search? You can when you setup email alerts. Get an update list of job listings found by the JobFinder sent straight to your email inbox! Please see the detailed guide below on how to setup email alerts.
1 - Enter in your search info as normal, but check the "Ad as Alerts" box.
2 - Hit the "Search" button.
3 - Name Your Alert
4 - Click the "Alerts" tab on the left-hand side of the program.
5 - Enter in your email address and click to save your changes.
Attach Customize Notes: When in the mist of a job search, it can be hard to keep track of all your resumes sent out, upcoming interviews, and so forth. The JobFinder simplifies the process of organization by making customized notes available. At the bottom of your screen off to the right, you will see a button named “Notes.” This is what enables you to create and attach a customized note to a job. Make note of dates resumes were emailed, when interviews are scheduled, and more.
Store Resumes and Cover Letters: As you know, it is important to send a resume and cover letter when applying for jobs online, so upload away. The JobFinder lets you store an unlimited number of resumes and cover letters. Please see the detailed guide below on how to upload these documents.
1 – Click the “Resumes” or “Covers” button towards the top of the program.
2 – Name your resume.
3 – Add a short description.
4 – Browse your computer for the file.
5 – Click to add your resume.
Built-In Replies: Of course you don’t want to just find jobs online; you want to apply for them too. The JobFinder makes it easy. Find a job listing you like? Look to the right and you will see a “Reply” link. After clicking on this link, a pop-up will appear like the one you see below. Attach a resume, cover letter, and type your message. Once done, just click to send.
Clickable Links Retained: Most of the job listings you find via the JobFinder enable you to reply by email. As a reminder, you can and should use the Job Finder’s built-in reply. However, there will be occasions when an email address is not listed. Instead, you might fiend a “Click Here to Apply” message. Click there because the JobFinder does retain all outside links.
