The Car Finder makes it quick and easy for you to find and buy used cars online. The Car Finder searches thousands of websites, including car finding sites, online marketplaces, and online classified sites. The Car Finder can help you find great deals on used cars by searching these websites, including Craigslist. If you have never bought a used car from a classified website, here are some important questions you want to ask:

Please note that these questions don’t cover about the standard make, model, year, mileage, and color questions. The reason why this information car buying information was not included in this used car buying guide is because this information should already be provided to you through the online car sale listing. If it isn’t, be sure to ask.

Question: Does the used car need any upgrades and/or repairs?
Some sellers will outright lie and claim their used car or truck is in perfect shape when it is not. Other car sellers feel they aren't actually tellling a lie if they just omit the information. Then, some car sellers just do not include information on any repairs or upgrade that are needed because they are fraid of overwhelming you with information in an online ad. That is why you should ask.

Question: When was the car last repaired? What did those repairs include?
As stated above, many cars sellers don’t want to overwhelm you with too information so they don’t post any recent repairs or upgrades in a used car listing. Moreover, some car sellers believe that highlighting recent repairs can hurt their chances of making a sale. In reality, it can also help them make a sale. For example, you may be more willing to buy a car online that got new brakes because it is one less thing you need to worry about after just making your purchase.

Question: What was the car used for? How much was it driven in terms of miles?
This car buying question can help give you insight into the vehicle’s overall condition. Use the answer to this important question in conjunction with pictures and other information provided by the seller. A car driven 2 hours to work each day is likely to have more wear and tear than a car that was only driven on occasion or five minutes to work each day.

Question: Can I see the car?
You should always get a “yes” when asking this question. Even if you are going to buy a “clunker” for $400, make sure your $400 is spent wisely. Unless you are buying a junk car (that will not run and you know it), you should be able to take the car for a spin. Look under the hood too.

Question: Are you willing to accept X amount of dollars less?
We always
tend to negotiate with used car dealers and you can do the same thing with individual car owners who list their cars or trucks for sale online via Craigslist or another similar website. You have nothing to lose by asking them to slash their price $1,000, $100, or even $50.

The above mentioned questions are just some of the many questions you should ask when looking to buy a new or used car ocally or via the internet. Remember, you can use the Car Finder to find quality and cheap cars.
