If you are using the JobFinder to find jobs posted online, you are likely to get quite a few listings that meet your search criteria. So what comes next? You need to apply for the job. But wait! Should you do so right now or should you wait?

You should never wait when interested in applying for jobs you find online or via the JobFinder. Why? With the economy in its current situation, a lot of job seekers are actively looking for an applying for jobs. In some cases, a hiring manager has a enough resumes to schedule a day full of interviews after only 24 or 48 hours (luckily most keep looking longer for that perfect candidate).

You want to be on the first who applies for a job so that you don’t miss that invisible and rarely mentioned cutoff date. So you should be ready to apply for job when searching.

So if you haven’t already, now is the time to:

  • Write or proofread your resume.
  • Write or proofread your cover letter.
  • Upload them both to the JobFinder.
