Whether you do a search with the JobFinder, Talent Finder, Car Finder, Property Finder, or Leads Finder, there might come a time when a search of yours produces no results. With each program searching thousands of websites at once, results should be large. So what should you do if you get a “sorry no results” message?

Check Your Spelling: It isn’t that you might be a bad speller; it is also that you might have made a simple typo. Personally, I like to type really fast and this often results in errors. So I try my best to slow down when searching with one of our applications.

Expand Your Search Radius: If you are doing a local search, as opposed to a national search, you already have a limited pool. However, if you are looking for a common item (one that is regularly bought and sold), you should be seeing results. If not expand your search radius. For example, I am surrounded by a few small towns. I typically have to search with a 30 mile radius for the best deals.

Try a Different Search Phrase: Maybe the item you are looking for can be described as something else. For example, lots of people refer to sofas as couches and so forth. Also, try using a general search phrase. Maybe you are looking for a wood desk, but a seller just types “Desk for Sale - $20.” There is a good chance you’d miss this great deal. Just quickly skim through listings and look at pictures.
